Susie and Ed Orr
Inspired by innovative research efforts at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes and eager to help move them forward, Colorado couple Susie and Ed Orr established the Orr Family Endowed Chair in Adult Diabetes in 2017. The Orrs are passionate about advancing our understanding of diabetes and speeding new developments from the lab to the clinic. Peter Gottlieb, MD, was named inaugural Orr Family Chair.
“We want to see diabetes become a disease of the past,” said the Orrs. “By making philanthropic investments in the Barbara Davis Center, our hope is to accelerate breakthroughs by helping faculty like Dr. Gottlieb explore new approaches to treatment, prevention and care.”
Susie and Ed have supported the Barbara Davis Center for years and remain engaged with the latest research underway there. In addition to establishing the Orr Family Chair, they have included the Barbara Davis Center in their estate plans, helping ensure its continued progress into the years ahead.
